Vitamin Supplements.

Vitamin supplements are a good substitute when you can’t get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs. There are endless brands and types to choose from. There are two important parts to consider when of choosing a vitamin supplement. The first is, how they are made. All natural vitamin supplements will be easier absorbed by the body, compared to a synthetic supplement, which your body has to break down, using its own vitamins and mineral, in order to use the ingredients.

The second is the amount of the ingredients in the supplement. It is well know that a lack of, or an excess of any ingredient can be harmful to your body. These are the recommended ingredients and daily amounts needed for good health. As you will see the amount usually increase the older you get and it’s usually lower for women than men. Mg (milligrams) and mc (micrograms are 1/1000000 of a gram). Calcium for 0 to 6 months old (210 mg) and (1000 mg ) for 19 to 50 year olds. Chromium for 0 to 6 months old (.02 mg) and (female 25 and male 35 mg ) for 19 to 50 year olds.

Folate for a 1 to 3 years old (150 mc) and (400 mc). for 19 to 50 years olds. Iron for a 7 to 12 month old (11 mg) and for 19 to 50 years old (8 mg). Iron is the only one that lessons, as you get older. Magnesium for a 1 to 3 year old (80 mg) and (female 320 and male 420 mg). for 31+ years olds. Selenium for a 1 to 2 year old (20 mg) and (female 700 and male 900 mg) for 19+ years olds. These are the minerals that should be contained any vitamin supplements you might decide to take.

Now for the vitamins that should be in your vitamin supplements. Vitamin A for 1 to 3 year olds (300 mg) and (700 female and 900 male mg) for 19 +years olds. Vitamin B6 for 19 + year olds (1.3 mg). Vitamin B12 for 1 to 3 year olds (.09 mc) and ( 2.4 mc). for 19 +year olds. Vitamin D for 1 to 13 year olds (5 mc) and (5 mc) for 19 +year olds. Vitamin E for 1 to 3 year olds (6 mg) and (15 mg ) for 14 +year olds. And finally, Vitamin K for adults (80 mc). You should find these ingredients in any vitamin supplements you take.
